On Saturday, January 3rd the only site-seeing we did was go inside Cologne’s cathedral. We may have saved the best for last out of all the cathedrals we saw. The cathedral has two huge towers out front that must be very close to the size of the one at Ulm. The detail everywhere is incredible, you can see why it took hundreds of years to finish.
It was a little sad to leave Cologne and Germany; like all the cities we visited, we still had a list of things we wish we could have seen, but some people (ahem Melissa) had to get back to work. We left Cologne at 11:50AM and our train finally pulled into Lausanne at 6:40PM. It felt nice to be home again.
